A very unique opportunity to visit Takuapas Old Town and to learn more about Thai people and their way of life. Walk through the streets in the Old Town together with your local guide. See almost 200-year-old houses that were built in traditional style of that period.
Visit 2 temples in the area that show the difference between a Buddhist and a Chinese Taoist temple. You have the chance to see how traditional cookies called “Moon Cakes” are made in a local bakery, and see what you can find at the local market. You also will visit Saori Foundation, which is a women's workshop that develops its own textile designs, after a Japanese monk showed tsunami survivors how to weave and earn a living.

Itinerary
- 05:00 to 05:30hrs - Pick up from your hotel
- Stop at Fresh market where you can buy food to offer to the Buddhist monks
- Experience and taste Tim Sum
- Visit the local “Moon Cake” bakery
- Walk and see the architecture of old town, shops, foods, and learn about the history
- Visit Thai Buddhist and Chinese temple
- Monk Chat
- After the light lunch, visit the Saori Foundation
- 13:30 to 14:00hrs - Return to your hotel

Sun block lotion, insect repellant, camera, spare money and shoes: sandals.
Please keep in mind that we have a ‘DRESS CODE’ at the Temples. No short sleeves both male and female, shorts should be below the knee.

♦ Children prices apply to those children between 4-12 years. Children below the age of 4 years are free of charge. Children above the age of 12 years pay full price.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you cancel the trip at least 48 Hours in advance, we do not charge you. If you cancel later or don’t show up, we need to charge 100%.
Tour Availability
Full day tour. Tour can be booked on Tuesday and Saturday with an English speaking guide. A minimum of 4 persons is needed for this tour.
